The British College of Journalism is a division of International News Syndicate Limited. Its directors and principals have been involved in all aspects of media work, training, and publishing for over 35 years, providing the experience that underpins the online journalism course.
How experienced is the College in journalism training?
The College is an international media training organisation with students in more than 80 countries and territories. Established in 2007, it has over 19 years of course delivery experience and a proven history of supporting students in freelance journalism.
While the principles of freelance journalism are consistent worldwide, the course has been specifically revised and designed to suit students living and working in the United Kingdom. Upon successful completion, students receive a Diploma of Freelance Journalism and a Media Pass, both posted directly to them.
The College also provides ongoing support throughout the course through structured online delivery and email communication, ensuring students are guided at every stage of their learning journey.

The Professional Freelance Journalism Course is delivered as a structured training programme designed to guide students step by step. Learning is supported through online course delivery and direct communication with the College, ensuring consistent guidance throughout the study process
